This sassy little guy has changed my life in more ways than I ever thought possible. I knew I always wanted a dog, but I couldn’t have anticipated how much joy and happiness this small bundle of fluff could bring me. Remember when you were a kid and you asked your parents for a dog and their famous excuse was always, “a dog is a lot of responsibility…”? Well, they were right. But also wrong at the same time. While dogs are undoubtedly a lot of responsibility, this isn’t a good enough excuse for why a child should not be allowed to have a dog or any pet for that matter. Part III: The Inexperienced Dog Owner

I thought it would be appropriate to end this three-part series by reflecting back on my mishaps as an inexperienced, first-time dog owner. My biggest blunder was not being well enough prepared to train my four-legged friend. Yes, I was excited and after waiting 18 LONG years, I finally had a puppy to call my own. But I literally had zero experience and I was in my first year of university which meant that I was out of the house all day and had to leave Timmy at home with my grandma who was not interested in training a dog.
